“You are Priest, Prophet and King – Part 2

In Part 1 of this series we talked about how we as Baptized Catholic's are anointed, "Priest, Prophet and King". We focused on how we are called to the Priesthood, as laity in that our Priestly Vocation is not that of a Priest with Holy Orders, but that in which we are called to sacrifice. Our lives are given back to God in Sacrifice for all He has given to us. We must die to our Fleshly Desires of this world, DAILY and live for others, just as Christ did for us.

What is the Prophetic call in our Vocation?

  • Old Testament Prophets were the Voice of God to the People. The Prophet Elijah represented God, to His chosen people. Ezekiel represented the Voice of God, along with Isaiah and so many of the other great Prophets, before and after him.
  • Jesus Himself was also a Prophet, in the fact that HE represented and WAS the Voice of God to man. Fully human yet fully Divine, Jesus represented His Fathers Voice, Desires and Plans for our eternal Salvation through Himself. The Prophet spoke Truth and that True is INFALLIBLE!
  • We also share in the Prophetic Ministry of our Vocation in that we too must speak the INFALIBLE Truth's given to us by God, which can be found in the Bible and the teachings of our One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. We too must represent the Voice of God to our brothers and sisters, in calling all people to Repentance and Baptism. We are called to speak the Words of God, when Jesus reminded us; "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one goes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6)

Our call in this life, my brothers and sisters is a call to HOLINESS and it is through this, the Prophetic Ministry of our anointing that we continue in service to others, and not self-servitude, dying to our own sinful ways, and living the TRUTH of the Gospels as Christ would have us live. Submitting ourselves to the Authority of the Church, and the Magisterial teachings of our Church that have been handed down from the beginning through Apostolic succession; fighting for what is RIGHT, fighting to eradicate intrinsic evils; doing what is RIGHT in our own lives. WE, each one of us, must say YES to the Lord's Will in our daily lives knowing that in following Him, we are on the road toward Salvation and Eternal Life with the Father. We will fall, we will stumble, but through the Sanctifying Grace of the Sacrament of Reconciliation, we are able to GET UP, SHAKE THE DUST OFF OUR SANDLES and KEEP ON KEEPIN ON! OH THANK YOU LORD, you have been SO GOOD TO US, THANK YOU LORD for Guiding us; THANK YOU LORD for your chastisement, because it means you LOVE ME; thank you Lord for being good to me when I was not good to myself; most of all THANK YOU LORD for your unending, undying, unconditional LOVE for all of your people!

LET EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH PROCLAIM THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD! PRAISE JESUS – PRAISE JESUS – PRAISE JESUS… let the Church say…amen, Amen and AMEN!
